This presentation will focus on continuations, a mechanism that allows the state of a running program to be persisted and restarted at some later interval. Continuations are the technical underpinning of the Windows Workflow package, but they can be used in a far wider range of applications than traditional enterprise workflow. This talk will focus on their use in a 3D animation of the Mah Jongg game. The goal is to ensure attendees both understand how continuations work and are implemented and what kinds of problems they confront on a daily basis that continuations can provide an optimal solution for.
